Locate32 v3.1 - 超快速搜檔
當硬碟隨著使用時間塞滿了各式的檔案後，有時要找到一個特定的檔案真是要花點時間。
當然可以使用Windows預設的搜尋，但今天要介紹的是Locate32：一個類似Unix上的locate指令的工具。
在Unix上用updatedb建立檔案的搜尋資料庫後，將來就能用locate來很快的找到需要的檔案了。
與此概念相同的，Locate32也是需要透過updatedb似的資料庫來找檔案，只要資料庫建立並更新妥當，找起檔案可是只能用「飛快」來形容。
另外，它的選項可是非常豐富，可以將搜尋的過程控制得相當細緻。
Locate32 is software which can be used to find files from your harddrives and other locations. It works like updatedb and locate commands in Unix based systems. In other words, it uses databases to store information about directory structures and uses these databases in searches. The use of these databases provides very fast searching speed. The software includes a dialog based application as well as console programs which can be used to both update and access databases. Supported operation systems are Windows 98/ME/NT4/2000/XP/Vista.

當然迅速的訣竅還是取決於資料庫的建立，有了資料庫搜尋才迅速啊!
windows預設資料庫存放的位置如下:
C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application Data\Locate32\files.dbs
若你的電腦東西又亂又雜，是可以建議常駐這個軟體唷

用過linux的locate
就會知道這東西有多方便了
有一套叫Everything 不用建立任何搜尋檔案
速度可能比這套慢 但絕對比xp內建的快上許多...
everything好像也是還有再建資料庫
嗯...看了一下檔案內容 ..
有個data base file
不過他不用常駐^^
偶而還是得update DB一下
不然新進檔案不會有唷!!
